"We have long been ignored by the incumbent who once flatly told me (incorrectly), "You're not in my district!" That says a lot. Peggy brings fresh enthusiasm, and a commitment to serve the needs of all her constituents. I share wholeheartedly in all all her goals and beliefs. Let's bring a new voice to Harrisburg in 2008!"

"...the Knowledge and Skills Needed to Lead..."

Deborah Cole
Retired Social Worker and Teacher

"Peggy Banaszek is a very bright and lively person who I enjoy as a friend and neighbor.  I also appreciate her willingness to seek election as our state representative.  We all recognize that our community, county, and world are fraught with serious problems.  Peggy not only recognizes this but believes we can resolve these problems if we work together.  As a result, she worked hard many years to build the knowledge and skills needed to lead in the development of viable solutions.  I respect her efforts to put her awareness and concerns into action.  She has fresh ideas and works well with others to get done what needs to be done.  Her beliefs, ideas, and enthusiasm are infectious.  I would be pleased to have her represent me in our state government, knowing that she would listen seriously to all her constituents and would act thoughtfully and honorable to improve our world."

"For the past two years I've worked closely with Peggy on Washington Square West Town Watch. I've been impressed time and again by her dedication, energy and ability to get things done. In conversations about a range of issues, she's always demonstrated an insight that cuts to the heart of the matter, and the intelligence to spot the best solution about a myriad of choices. I am confident that she will bring much-needed change to the 182nd district."

"I'm still amazed at the quality of the work Peggy has done for our community over the years. She puts so much energy into staying informed on the issues and touching base with the community. She really would be a great resource for us in Harrisburg. I believe we need her drive and her integrity on our side. If we want to see fresh, common-sense ideas in action we need to send an intelligent, self-starter to represent us. We need to send Peggy. "

“Peggy is the right person for that critical task.”

David Weinstein
Compliance Manager and Student
Bella Vista

"I have known Peggy for a number of years and worked with her in a multitude of different venues. Peggy is a detailed oriented person who can get to the crux of a problem or issue and make it simple for the average person to understand. I have confidence in Peggy and know that she understands the practical needs of the residents of the 182nd district. We need representation that is in touch with the community and fights for things that we hold dear, I think that Peggy is right person for that critical task. Whether it’s working with the Nutter Administration to support pressing needs for Philadelphia, pushing for better transit policy at SEPTA, working with our police and community organizations to make our neighborhoods safer, or holding our schools accountable and giving our teachers the tools they need to succeed, I know she will be connected and relevant to our community and she will be a consensus builder. That is the kind of leadership that I am looking for to represent me in Harrisburg."

Helane Stein

"Peggy's independence and her deep roots in the community provide the foundation for her conviction..."

Helane Stein

"Peggy represents a new generation in Philadelphia’s political landscape. Peggy’s independence and her deep roots in the community provide the foundation for her conviction that it is time for new leadership. Her broad political agenda encompasses her understanding that Philadelphia must not only find solutions to social problems such as violence and education but must also address the need for healthy economic growth in areas like housing and business development."

Brett Schaeffer

"Peggy understands that, and I believe she's willing to fight"

Brett Schaeffer

"I first met Peggy at a forum on Philadelphia's public schools. I think that's appropriate because her emphasis on improving the city's public education is a big reason I'd like to see her in Harrisburg. I spent nearly 10 years as an education reporter, covering schools in Chicago, San Francisco and Philadelphia. There is one common thread connecting the public schools in those cities: Schools that have adequate resources produce better students. Sounds simple, right? Well, as anyone involved in the Philadelphia public schools can tell you, it's not. According to a recent report by the Public School Notebook, our Commonwealth ranks 49th out of 50 states in terms of K-12 public school funding. Simply put, Pennsylvania needs to do a better job of funding it's public schools, that means all of its public schools, not merely Philadelphia's. Peggy understands that, and I believe she's willing to fight for that funding in Harrisburg. That's why I want her to be the next Representative for the 182nd District. "
